  紅豆、鴛鴦豆、赤小豆、相思豆、相思子、相思藤、雞母真珠、雞母子、黑  頭小雞、土甘草、美人豆或紅珠木 [2]

  jequirity bean，rosary pea，precatory bean，crab's-eye [3]

potential for use as a bioterrorism agent [4].

 

 

Involving system

  GI system: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and dehydration [5]

  Neurologic: central pontine myelinolysis [6]

 

 

Presentation

  Haemorrhagic enterocolitis, bilateral septal vein thrombosis, and basal ganglia haemorrhage [7]

  Seizure, progressive encephalopathy and death [8]

death occurs from multi-organ failure [4].

Diarrhea

 

 

Antidote and Treatment

lack of antidote [4]

Gastric lavage, De-contamination

Gastric acid suppression by proton pump inhibitor (PPI)

 liver protection, hemostasis, blood volume and electrolytes resuscitation, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and hemoperfusion (HP) [9].  

 

 

Disposition

 

Depends on the patient’s situation.
